Thinking about Freemasonry and wondering how many really intelligent to genius people this society has attracted and how they are all 'taken in ' by all these symbols and teachings.
Of course it echoes what the world IS.. it seems it is Jubal verses Tubal !
Nature and the shepherd as opposed to buildings and edifices - towns and cites, technologies and science. The natural against the manipulated and manmade - can the work of man equal the work of the creator. It seems much like the myth of the weaver Ariadne against the work of the gods or the vanity of mankind. We dare to pitch our limited knowledge against that of the wisdom of creation and come sourly and surely very short - perhaps to our own demise ?
Let me not use the term GOD but creator .. creative intelligence.... what ever that is.. the embodiment of all that is creating due to cosmic laws and causes and conditions.. it is in Buddhism more likely to be thought of as the work of the Dharmadatu ? It is, for sure, the master of all the sciences and arts of whose work we ( oft not so humbly ) attempt to copy - the work of art which hangs in the vault of creation. .. a perfect picture of wonder.. maybe the perfect picture due to lack of the right tools and elements available. It is like the perfect - never loosing its wonder and lustre of the first moment of perception, an ever lasting picture that defies change and time .. Uncreated, and in the mind of the creative intelligence, but its potential remains dormant and sleeping in the realms of the night - unseen and unheard nameless and NOT...at this time it is not a reality but a dream to which we all walk and work towards.
I don't think that anyone can deny that, no matter what religion they are or are not, what is in front of your very eyes speaks the whole truth of WHAT IS at this moment for our particular sensory organs. If we had different sensory organs we would not see the same world - what world would we see ? .. worlds withing worlds like patterns in carpets .. worlds nesting in one another..
