Apple (Eng.)/ Pomme (Fr.) / Manzana (Sp.)
These words, which all mean the same thing, should be explained one at a time, as they come from different sources. In regard to apple, all European languages other than the Romance languages, ie., the great majority of Indo-European languages, including the Celtic tongues, use a word with a root ap, ab, af or av for apples and apple trees: aballo (Celtic), apple(Eng.), Apfel (Germ.), aeppel (Old Eng.), abhal (Irish Gaelic), epli (Icelandic),
Shekhinah : -apple orchard - Carmel - Carmelite - Avila - Avallon

LATIN
crystalus: a crystal, crystal drinking cup
Camella - goblet drinking cup
Carmel.. a hill - apple orchard
Camilla - unblemished handmaid

afal (Welsh), jabloko (Russian), and jablko (Polish). In regard to pomme, this French term comes from the Latin pomum, which originally referred to all fruit. Before Christianity was adopted as the official religion of the Roman Empire some time in the 4th. Century, the Latin word malum (melon in Greek) meant "apple." After the adoption of Christianity, however, and due to the important symbolism of the apple in the bible (ie, the Garden of Eden), the general term pomum, "fruit," was used to describe the apple as "the fruit of fruits." In regard to manzana, this Spanish term comes from the Iberian pronunciation of matiana, a Gallo-Roman translation of the Latin word matianum, which was a scented, golden apple first raised by and named after Matius, a friend of Caesar's who was also a cookbook author ["Apple" Footnote: The French village of Avallon (in the Yonne area), where there are a lot of apple trees, received its name from the legend of the sacred island of Avalon or Abalon, meaning "Apple Orchard"--incidentally, the "-on" suffix is an "augmentative" and explains the origin of the name of the Pacific shellfish "Abalone"--that is, "big apple."].

Alcohol
This word comes from the Arabic al-kuhl, which originally meant a very fine powder of antimony used as eye makeup. It conveyed the idea of something very fine and subtle, and the Arab alchemists therefore gave the name of al-kuhl to any impalpable powder obtained by sublimation (the direct transformation of a solid into vapor, or the reverse process), and thus to all compounds obtained through the distillation process.

Lord
From the Anglo-Saxon "hlaford," which was composed of "hlaf" and "weard," and meant, "loaf-ward"; similarly, "Lady" is from the Anglo-Saxon "hlaefdige," or "loaf-maid." See also companion and host.

Kopf (German) Head
From Latin "cuppa," meaning "cup"; the Romans used the cup as a metaphor for the upper part of the head. Similarly, another Latin word for "cup," "testa," has now become the French "TĂȘte," for "head," too. Note that both the Germans and the Celts used a "skullcap" "top of the human head") as a drinking vessel; this was part of the honoring of the enemy ritual. Thus related to "chief" and "capital" (and "testicle" as well).

Will I ever loose the desire to come back to this earth... do I suffer the pain to know the joy; do I suffer the rejection to know the acceptance; do I suffer the hate to know the love; do I suffer death to know life; do I suffer the pain to know euphoria;
Oh how I am magnetised to this earth time after time after time.. do I suffer Samsara to know Nirvana.. Oh how trapped I am in this world of appearances and dualities....

musings 2

I present you a pattern and you can see one a shape in it and i can see another.. actually it is not any of those things is it, but your mind always constructs the recognisable and knowable out of the chaos or pattern of energies that have come together - The mind brain always seperates and divides to say this is that and that is this.. it makes form out of what is not form .. it makes something out of nothing and philosophies and meanings where there are none... this is the way of the mind brain.. it was designed to perform these very functions.. so we leave it for the swirling mists of no thing and no selves and no this and that.. the mind is scared for the basis of its foundation of knowlege disappears and is left floating in a nebula of color and fragmented forms - death dissolves form of this we can be sure and it dissolves the brain that perceives the form..

Musings

Thinking about Freemasonry and wondering how many really intelligent to genius people this society has attracted and how they are all 'taken in ' by all these symbols and teachings.
Of course it echoes what the world IS.. it seems it is Jubal verses Tubal !
Nature and the shepherd as opposed to buildings and edifices - towns and cites, technologies and science. The natural against the manipulated and manmade - can the work of man equal the work of the creator. It seems much like the myth of the weaver Ariadne against the work of the gods or the vanity of mankind. We dare to pitch our limited knowledge against that of the wisdom of creation and come sourly and surely very short - perhaps to our own demise ?

Let me not use the term GOD but creator .. creative intelligence.... what ever that is.. the embodiment of all that is creating due to cosmic laws and causes and conditions.. it is in Buddhism more likely to be thought of as the work of the Dharmadatu ? It is, for sure, the master of all the sciences and arts of whose work we ( oft not so humbly ) attempt to copy - the work of art which hangs in the vault of creation. .. a perfect picture of wonder.. maybe the perfect picture due to lack of the right tools and elements available. It is like the perfect - never loosing its wonder and lustre of the first moment of perception, an ever lasting picture that defies change and time .. Uncreated, and in the mind of the creative intelligence, but its potential remains dormant and sleeping in the realms of the night - unseen and unheard nameless and NOT...at this time it is not a reality but a dream to which we all walk and work towards.
I don't think that anyone can deny that, no matter what religion they are or are not, what is in front of your very eyes speaks the whole truth of WHAT IS at this moment for our particular sensory organs. If we had different sensory organs we would not see the same world - what world would we see ? .. worlds withing worlds like patterns in carpets .. worlds nesting in one another..
